Each year the elementary students get the privilege to help earn donations for the American Heart Association. They are given packets and are encouraged to go around local businesses, communities, and family members to get donations. They are rewarded with different prizes. The more donations you get, the more prizes you get. The elementary students had 36 students bring back envelopes and packets for Hoops 4 Heart. All together they raised $5,000.39. Jake Kral was the top fundraiser with $675. Kyle Conroy, the organizer of the fundraiser, thought the fundraiser had a good turnout: “The students had a great time during our event and are excited for next year’s.”
