On the 20th of August, the Silver Lake Washington group held a carnival for all kids for Friday night. Many people said that this carnival was a success and had very many happy kids laughing and having a good time. One of the people there having all the fun was eighth-grader, Kerra Hofstetter who said, “All the games were a lot of fun and exciting, especially the pop ring game!”
Speaking of games, there were many games at the carnival including the toilet game, pop ring, the fish game, and the cookie walk. There weren’t just games at the carnival, the kids also loved the face paint. At a stand at the carnival, the kids could choose what they wanted to have painted on their faces, and they could either roar like a lion, have the stripes of a tiger, or fly like a butterfly.
There weren’t just young kids at this carnival. This carnival even rounded up a couple of older kids as well. Some of the kids were there for the Washington trip to get a little extra cash, and some of the older kids were there to have fun! One of the many older kids there was senior Amanda Ehrman and she said, “Katelyn and I had a lot of fun running the awards stand and seeing all the kids get their prizes at the carnival! It was fun to watch all the kids run around and have fun! Also, I would recommend this again for next year because older people like me can also make good money there too!” The Silver Lake Mustang’s carnival was a great experience to have fun and be with friends for the night, and maybe get a few prizes here and there along the way.
