Every year for a whole week, students can let their freak flags fly and celebrate being drug-free. The high school students started out the week by finding as much red as they could and dressing up in red. On Wednesday, the high schoolers got comfy in their pajamas making it hard not to fall asleep in class! On Thursday, the high schoolers got to think outside the box and show off their Halloween costumes. There was a variety of costumes from cows to clowns, to trash. On Friday, the students showed school spirit at the high school, by having a whiteout and cheering the boys on at the football game.
The elementary started out the week on Tuesday, by not getting mixed up with drugs and they wore mixed up clothes. At the end of each day, the students gathered in the gym for a pep rally and got prizes and played games. Some of the prizes were toy footballs, basketballs, and water bottles. On Wednesday the students went full out in red. On Thursday, the kids got to come to school in their pajamas. Parents came and enjoyed some pancakes and read to their kids. Friday was spirit day and everyone got dressed up in Silver Lake colors. Thank you to everyone who participated in the week and who helped make the week such a success.
