Dear Students and Parents,
I hope that this letter finds you all doing well.
Our breakfast and lunch meals are being delivered to about 200 students at their homes. If you have not signed up yet for this and would like to enroll your child, please contact the office. It is free to all children under the age of 18. Our staff has done a fantastic job in building this program in such a short amount of time.
Special thank you to Gentert Packaging for thinking of our students during this time. Parents be aware that some of the packages are Hot or Spicy so make sure that you read the package before your children enjoy the AMAZING products that he has generously donated.
I hope that you continue to be able to access all of your remote learning. Again, our teachers have re-invented their classes to enable our secondary to continue with their classes and for enrichment activities for our elementary. If you are having any problems accessing any of the information please let us know. I also want to encourage our students, especially our secondary, to finish the year well – even though this wasn’t how we all thought things would look when we began the year in August. The classes you are taking now will be needed for you to do your best next year. Remember, you will get back what you put into them.
At last night’s School Board Meeting the Board approved several things that many of you are wondering about. Our school year will end May 21 for our K-11 and our Seniors will be finished on May 1. We will have details about check-in at a later time.
Graduation and Prom are postponed. The Board will re-evaluate these events in May based on current information.
Students will not be going to Washington DC at the end of May. There will be more information for those students and their families about next year’s trip and this year’s costs sent to you from Mr. Bauer.
As always keep communicating with your teachers. Ask them for help; they are there for you. Let us know if there are things that you need.
I miss seeing all of you; please stay safe.
