The Junior High boys basketball faced off against the Wilcox-Hildreth Falcons on the 16th. It was a tough-fought battle throughout the game with the main scorers of the game being 8th graders Brody Knehans and Xander Journey scoring 10 and 8, respectively. 8th grader Lane Magarin led the team in rebounds pulling down 6 rebounds in the game. “We played well through three quarters. We gave ourselves a chance going into the 4th and just tired out,” said head coach Knehans after the game. The game wasn’t very high scoring until the second half when both teams found their rhythm to get some offense working. The boys ended up losing 19-28, and head coach Knehans had this to say about the game: “The competitive drive is there, but our ball handling and decision-making needs to improve in the future.“ The Junior High boys will have to remember this for their battle against the Harvard Cardinals.
