The cross country team traveled to compete at their second meet in Superior. This meet was a whole lot hotter and had a lot more hills. Freshman Hayden Karr placed 30th with a time of 23:39. Junior Jordan Faimon got 52nd with a time of 26:58. Freshman Jayden Parr got 58th with a time of 31:22. Blake Monie couldn’t run this meet due to an injury. 8th Grader Lane Magarin placed 11th in a two-mile run. ”Although it was a difficult course, I was happy with how everyone performed,” commented Mr. Knehans. The cross country team has two weeks off before their next meet. With their time off they will be practicing hard every day and run two to five miles every day. “I think we did decently as a team. I also plan on running 3 miles every day over our two-week break before our next meet,” said Karr. They only have four more meets left in the season. The next meet will be at Franklin on the 20th of September. TVC takes place in Clay Center this year on September 29th.
