On August 15th, many students were able to enjoy the Silver Lake Back-to-School Bash held at the baseball field in Roseland. The organizations of FFA and FBLA put on this fantastic event. Students were able to enjoy fun activities, such as cornhole and baseball. Thanks to the organizations, students had delicious cheeseburgers and hot dogs along with a wide variety of chips. Of course, there were also many desserts such as cookies, brownies, and ice cream. Mrs. Behmer, the FBLA advisor, said, “It’s a fun night for the students to hang out and learn more about FFA and FBLA.” When asked about the turnout, she said, “Our number this year was half of the student body, which I think is great considering that it was a Friday night and the first Friday school was back in session.” Although this event was only an hour and a half long, many students made memories and enjoyed hanging out with their friends.
