WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THE SILVER LAKE PUBLIC SCHOOLS BOOSTER CLUB?
The purpose of the Booster Club is to support the PK-12 Academics and the 7-12 School-Sponsored Extra-Curriculars. We are a non-profit organization comprised solely of volunteers. We offer a variety of ways people can lend a hand and encourage everyone to participate whether in concessions sales or event planning. Through donations of both time and finances, we can provide our extracurricular programs with equipment, supplies, training for coaches, etc, and our teachers with funding to help cultivate new classroom projects and ideas.
HOW IS THE BOOSTER CLUB FUNDED?
The Booster Club is funded through sponsorships, donations from individuals and businesses, and fundraising activities.
- This year our goal is to raise money to finish the high school weight room and provide teacher with funding for new and creative ideas and projects in their classrooms.
WHO CAN JOIN, WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO?
The Booster Club is comprised of parents, siblings, grandparents, coaches, teachers, and others throughout the community. All are welcome and no experience is necessary! You can decide how much time and what level of involvement you can provide. The Booster Club meetings are held at the Silver Lake High School Library. The times and dates of meetings are provided in advance. We email and post this information on our Facebook page. We welcome your ideas, attendance at meetings, and your vote in decision-making. You are also invited to become involved in our fundraising activities through volunteering. It is not a requirement of membership to participate in any way, although your ideas and efforts are sure to make a difference.
It is $25 for a single membership and $40 for a couples membership. Memberships are paid annually.
