The Silver Lake cross country team traveled to Camp Kateri in McCool Junction on October 6th to compete in another meet. The course was more difficult, so times were a little bit slower for everyone. The weather conditions were perfect for running. Coach Knehans says, “I’m happy with how we performed as a team. The McCool meet serves as a good final competition before districts, which is very important.” Freshman Hayden Karr finished the race with a 15th-place medal. When asked how he did at this race, Karr states, “I felt that I did a decent job at this meet and I improved. It helped me to prepare for the next meet.” Sophomore Blake Monie placed 24th. The Mustangs cross country team competes in their final meet on October 13th in Hastings at The Elks for districts.
