On September 30, the cross country team traveled to Red Cloud to compete in the Twin Valley Cross Country meet. 7th grader Lane Magarin placed 4th in just his second meet competing. Blake Monie, a freshman at Silver Lake and a “newbie” in cross country, shaved 30 seconds off his time, breaking his personal record. Coach Knehans had this to say about the meet: “Blake is setting himself up well for a great run at districts on October 14th”. The district meet will take place in Franklin at 4:30.
