The Mustangs showed up at Franklin on their pink night to fight against breast cancer and fight for a win. Junior high, JV, and varsity all had games.
In one gym, the JV started off the night playing Deshler. The girls fought hard in two sets but couldn’t pull it off. Next, they took on the Franklin flyers on their home court. They wanted redemption from their previous loss, and they got it; the Mustangs took Franklin in two sets. Taylor Hanson thought that “We didn’t play as well as we would have liked our game verse Deshler, but we worked extra hard during the Franklin game and took the dub.”
In the other gym, the varsity was battling with Deshler throughout the whole game. The Mustangs lost the first set then came out winning the next two. Sophomore Morgan Dinkler gave her thoughts on the game saying, “We struggled a little bit in the first set, but in the second set we fixed our mistakes and came back for the win. We went into the third set with confidence and it paid off.”
The Lady Mustangs battled against Franklin next. They took the first set 25-16. They headed into the second set hoping for a win and succeeded, sweeping the next set 25-14.
