On the 24th of February, the Speech Team loaded up the vans at the crack of dawn to head to Deshler. Even though it was a tiring day of constantly performing the speeches, it was rewarding being able to head to finals. After everyone’s hard work, everyone from the Speech Team made it to the final round in their category. Here are the results from the TVC Speech Meet: OID #3: Jenna Strampher, Sydney Bartels, Josi Sharp, Maddie Karr, and Rehgan Miller- 6th Place, Varsity OID: Brock Karr, Trista Hanson, Samantha Bonifas, Cierra Mahnkey- 5th Place, Duet: Lana Swanson and Taylor Hanson- 3rd Place, Poetry: Marissa Erickson- 3rd Place, and Persuasive: Samantha Bonifas: 5th Place. In all, it was a successful day for the Silver Lake Speech Team. Their next speech performance is Districts at Falls City on March 9th. Good Luck Mustangs!
