Saturday, September 26, was a rough arrangement of games for the Silver Lake’s Volleyball team. In the Clarkson-Leigh (11-1) match, Silver Lake lost in two sets: 14-25 and 15-25 respectively. Hitting was a pretty even spread, with sophomores Georgi tenBensel and Lexi Wengler, senior Kerigan Karr, and junior Amanda Ehrman each earning three a piece. Ehrman also scored three aces while serving. Katelyn Karr directed 14 digs. Ehrman and Kerigan Karr came together for a total of ten assists.
In the Mead (12-3) match, Silver Lake lost in two sets: 22-25 and 10-25 respectively. tenBensel held seven kills while Ehrman took on four. During this match, there were zero serving errors for the whole team. Katelyn Karr and tenBensel conducted a total of 12 digs. Kergian Karr cast five assists and Ehrman cast 4.
In the Red Cloud TVC match up, which was Silver Lake’s second time playing the team, Silver Lake won in two sets: 25-10 and 25-14 respectively. tenBensel had six kills while Kerigan Karr had five. tenBensel also held three aces while serving. Katelyn Karr, Ehrman, and Kerigan Karr each picked up five digs. Kerigan Karr also had seven assists while Amanda Ehrman had five. The team finished fifth in the tournament.
