Due to the weather, the Cross Country meet at Brickyard Park was canceled. Therefore, the Silver Lake team started their season on September 3 at Superior. The meet was a large meet, with many Class C schools competing. Senior Paige Faimon earned a 12th place finish with a time of 25:50. Trailing closely behind her was freshman Kaylee Karr, placing 17th with a time of 26:32. As for the high school boys, junior Hayden Karr led the way, finishing in 21:51. Junior Jayden Parr was number two on the team, receiving a 26:18. Representing the junior high team, 8th grader Devin Maudlin received second place. Seventh graders Elise Parr and Emily Hemberger competed in the first meet of their career, with Elise placing sixth. The Mustangs will compete in an upcoming meet at Fillmore Central.
