Coach Knehans is again leading the Cross Country team for the 2024-25 school year for Junior High and High School. This year’s high school team comprises senior Paige Faimon, junior Hayden Karr, junior Frank Thomas, junior Jayden Parr, freshman Lee Gibson, and freshman Kaylee Karr. All of the runners competed last season in cross country. Junior High has been offered the opportunity to participate in the sport as well. Coach Knehans comments on his goals for the season: “Our goal this year is to place top three in the conference for the boys’ team. Since we only have two girls on the team this year, we would like to get both of them to place in the top 10 in the conference. It would be great to have three all-conference runners!” The Mustangs start their season with a meet at Brickyard Park in Hastings on August 29. Some more upcoming events are September 3 at Superior, September 10 at Centura, September 19 at Fillmore Central, and September 24 at Franklin.
