Freshman Xander Journey followed closely, placing 33rd and running a 22:26. Freshman Lane Magarin, sophomore Frank Thomas, and sophomore Jayden Tullis-Parr came in 57th, 58th, and 60th, respectively. Overall, everyone was impressed with these results knowing we have some injuries. Head coach Knehans said, “It was another step in the right direction for all of the runners. We are battling a few injuries right now but are hoping to be at full strength at the next meet.” The following week, the Mustangs traveled to Geneva for another large meet. Karr led the team once again with a time of 19:45. Junior Paige Faimon, the high school team’s solo girl ran a 27:21. Head Coach Knehans said, “We’re getting close to the district goal time every race that they run. The team had been practicing hard and looking forward to going to Franklin next week.”
