On Tuesday, October 7, the Silver Lake cross country team competed in Red Cloud for the Twin Valley Conference (TVC) meet. Sophomore Kaylee Karr not only led the Mustang girls but also claimed the title of TVC Champion. Coach Knehans shared, “She continues to improve with every race and is having a big year.”
On the boys’ side, Hayden Karr led the way with a 14th-place finish, running a time of 21:45. The Silver Lake boys’ team finished fourth overall, edging out Blue Hill by just one point.
Overall, every Mustang runner contributed to a strong team performance, helping Silver Lake earn a well-deserved fourth-place finish at the conference meet.
