The Junior High Mustangs Football team took on the Wilcox Hildreth Falcons on October 17th. The Mustangs took the ball first. 8th grader Brody Knehans rushed across the field for the game’s first touchdown. The Mustangs started off strong, but in the end, it wasn’t enough to win the game. Junior High Football Coach Seth Elley stated, “It was a good game. The game started off strong.” On the next drive, the Falcons answered with a long run of their own. The Mustangs tried their best, but unfortunately, they lost two key turnovers of consecutive kickoffs. The turnovers proved to be too much for the Mustangs to overcome. The Falcons ended up winning the season finale. Knehans ran the ball exceptionally well, with 8th grader Xander Journey and 7th grader Justin Sharp each catching a touchdown pass.
