The Silver Lake cross country team ran for success at the 2022 Twin Valley Conference meet in Clay Center. Eighth grader Lane Magarin finished 8th in the junior high division. In the high school division, Hayden Karr finished 7th and Blake Monie placed 13th. Both earned personal best times. The team finished fourth. Coach Kel Knehans is proud of the team for their hard work. “Running can be a grind but I’m proud of this team and the fact that they embrace and have fun with it. We are a very young program and as we head into the week of districts, I’m confident knowing each of these runners has put themselves in a position to compete at a high level. Every individual on this team is coming out of this season better than when they went into it, that is success,” said Knehans. Congratulations to the Mustang cross country team for a great conference meet!
