The Nebraska School Activities Association and Currency have announced their Believers & Achievers for the 2023 school year. Believers & Achievers is a program that recognizes Nebraska’s future leaders. According to Currency, “Believers & Achievers was designed to reward high school students in Nebraska for their excellence in academics and participation in NSAA activities. Those students who show a commitment to citizenship, school involvement, and community projects will be honored in the Believers & Achievers Program.” All schools in Nebraska can nominate up to four students, and only 48 students in the entire state are selected to be honored by Currency. Silver Lake is proud to announce that Samantha Bonifas was one of the 48 to be awarded this honor. In order to be eligible for Believers & Achievers, students must meet certain criteria: a minimum GPA of 3.5 and participation in NSAA-sponsored activities. Six students will be awarded a scholarship, which will be announced in April at the end-of-the-year banquet. Students will be judged on Scholastic Achievement, NSAA Activity Participation, School Involvement, Community Involvement, and a Citizenship essay. All 48 Believers & Achievers will be honored with an award at an NSAA Championship contest.
Congratulations to Samantha!
