“I thought we came out and played with more intensity and effort than the previous week,” Coach Conroy said following the match-up against the 5-0 Blue Devils Friday night, September 23. Senior Jake Knehans tore it up on the field and came out with 6 total tackles and 48 all-purpose yards. Junior Adrian Gomez also helped the Mustangs, pulling out 57 rushing yards. Junior Angus Andersen had 53 all-purpose yards contributing to the team’s offense. The Mustangs weren’t able to put a stop to the Kenesaw offense, but they look ahead to Deshler, on Friday, September 30, for a 3:00 pm game. Knehans, the team’s captain, says, “We need to stay together as a team.”
