The Silver Lake FBLA chapter visited the Kearney Unicenter for State Leadership Conference. On April 11 they left and stayed for three days. The FBLA members took several tests to move on to nationals. Junior Samantha Bonifas placed 5th in Agribusiness and received an honorable mention in Business communications. Sophomore Sydney Bartels received an honorable mention in Intro to Business Communications. Overall all of the members put in a lot of effort and time throughout the three days. They had early mornings and late nights. This was a great experience for all of them. Sophomore Lana Swanson said, “Overall it was such a great opportunity to learn and make new friends. I’m looking forward to next year to earn more awards and meet more people.” On Monday night, most of the members got to go swimming or go eat out. The members got to go to the Big Apple and go bowling on Tuesday night. This was a great way to get together and have a group bonding experience. Wednesday morning they had awards and got to spend a little extra time in Kearney after.
