Experience is a key factor that the Silver Lake Lady Mustangs have been missing out on for the past few seasons. This year, the Mustangs are returning seven players with varsity experience, including four starters from the 2018-2019 season. The Mustangs lost their top rebounder, Elizabeth Trausch, who secured 9.1 rebounds per game. However, they are returning seniors who have a lot of experience and drive in Abbie Skupa and Makayla Dinkler who are prepared to lead the team. Kerigan Karr and Madison Miller return for the Mustangs with two years of varsity experience under their belts. Sophomores Amanda Ehrman and Katelyn Karr return as sophomores who played in all 22 games their freshman season along with Trista Hanson who was a great asset to the Mustangs off the bench. Incoming freshmen include Samantha Bonifas, Marissa Erickson, Brooklyn Meyer, Reagan Rust, Georgi tenBensel, and Lexi Wengler. The Mustangs prepared for the season with a Hall-of-Fame Jamboree game against Sandy Creek on Monday, December 2. They look ahead to Friday, December 6 where they will battle Deshler, a Twin Valley Conference team, in their home opener for the 2019-2020 season
