On Tuesday, January 5 the Lady Mustangs knew they had a hard game playing against the defending state champion Pleasanton Bulldogs, but they came out and played a tough game anyways. In the first quarter the Mustangs scored 7 and the Pleasanton Bulldogs scored 23. At the end of the first half the Mustangs were not able to keep up with the Bulldogs, scoring 13 to Pleasantons 44. The Lady Mustangs allowed the Bulldogs to score 12 points in the third quarter. The Mustangs were never able to find their rhythm, with a final score of the game being 36-76. Kerigan Karr finished the game with 19 points, Katelyn Karr 6, Amanda Ehrman 4, Georgi tenBensel and Morgan Dinkler each contributed 3, and Madison Miller and Lana Swanson 2.
After the girls game the boys were ready to bring their all against the Bulldogs, pulling off an upset against the 7-2 team. The Mustangs only allowed the Bulldogs to score 13 points in the first half; while the Mustangs scored 34. The next half the Pleasanton Bulldogs outscored the Mustangs, but the Mustangs still pulled off the win. To end the night Oakley Rosno scored 15, Matthew Hansen close behind with 14, Logan Greenough 11, Blaine Simonton 8, Jake Knehans 2, and Quinn Rosno 1.
