The Mustang’s second game of the season at Spalding Academy was a loss. The final score was 59-14. Jake Knehans led the team in passing yards with 102 along with two touchdowns. The leading rusher for the game was Oakley Rosno. The leader in receiving yards was Rosno with 50 yards along 47 yards from Blaine Simonton. Leading the way on defense was Tristan Kasson, Simonton, and Jake Knehans all with eight tackles each. Head Coach Kyle Conroy commented, “Our bye week came at a good time for us. We have a lot to work on and correct to avoid any confusion on the field. Our motto this season is “do the little things;” so that is what we have been working on such as maintaining our blocks until the whistle blows, taking the proper angles, and going full speed all the time.” The Mustangs look to get another win on the season as they take on Southwest Friday, September 18 in Bartley.
